01Who we are

Cherry On Top Mobile Detailing (“Cherry On Top”, “we”, “us”) is a mobile car detailing business based at 401 Light St, Baltimore, MD 21202, serving Baltimore & the DMV. This policy covers our website, cherryontopmd.com, and the services we provide. This website and our services are intended for customers in the United States.

02What we collect

  • Booking details: your name, phone number, email address, service address, vehicle details and any notes you add when you book through Square.
  • Messages: anything you send us by phone, text, email, Instagram or TikTok, such as questions, photos of your vehicle or your ZIP code.
  • Payments: deposits and payments go through Square or the payment app you choose (Zelle, Cash App, PayPal, Apple Pay or Venmo). We can see that a payment was made, but we don’t receive or store your full card or bank details.
  • Photos: pictures of your vehicle taken during the service. See photos of your vehicle in our terms.
  • Website data: like most websites, our host, Cloudflare, automatically logs basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, for security and to keep the site running.
  • ZIP code checker: the ZIP code you type on our About page is matched against a list built into the page. It stays in your browser and isn’t sent to us or anyone else.

03How we use it

  • To schedule and carry out your appointment, including finding the service location.
  • To contact you about your booking, including letting you know when your car is finished.
  • To take deposits and payments, and to keep the records we need for tax and accounting.
  • To answer your questions and look into any concerns.
  • To improve our services and this website, and to meet our legal obligations.

We’ll only send you promotional messages if you’ve agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.

04When we share it

We don’t sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising. We share it only:

  • with Square, which runs our booking calendar and card payments, and with the payment app you choose to pay with;
  • with our website host, Cloudflare, and other service providers who help us run this site, only so they can provide that service;
  • when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public;
  • if the business is ever sold or transferred, as part of that transaction.

05Cookies & third-party content

This site doesn’t set advertising or tracking cookies of its own. Some pages load content from other companies, which may receive your IP address or set their own cookies under their own policies:

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. We don’t use analytics or advertising trackers on this site. We use Google Search Console to see how our site shows up in Google search; it reports on searches made on Google and doesn’t track you on this site. If we add analytics in the future, we’ll update this policy first.

06How long we keep it

We keep booking and payment records for as long as we need them to serve you and to meet tax and accounting requirements, then delete them. Messages are kept only as long as they’re useful for your service.

07Your choices & rights

You can ask us to:

  • show you the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct anything that’s wrong;
  • delete your information, unless we need to keep it for legal or accounting reasons;
  • stop sending you texts or emails that aren’t about an active booking.

08Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, and card payments are handled by Square’s secure systems. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we’ll never ask you to send a full card number by text or email.

09Children

Our services and this website aren’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

10Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and any significant changes will be posted on this page.
